Your books are wonderful!!! Reading your work is like watching a movie-- exciting, vivid, and beautiful!
I loved both of your books and can't wait for the next one to come out!
Thanks, Le! This is music to my ears!
Missy, I love the website. Look forward to reading your books. :-)
Hey John! Thanks a million for stopping by my site. I always love talking with a fellow writer. I hope you enjoy the books.
I just read The Pride of the King and really enjoyed it. Hope you do a sequile!
I immediately went to Amazon and purchased your other two books.
This is always THE best news an author can hear. Thank you, thank you! I hope you enjoy the others. Each book is quite different. And yes, I miss my characters from "Pride" and may resurrect them some day. Thanks again!
Just started rereading beyond the cliffs of kerry again today. I have the original book so I had to get it on my kindle today so I can take it everywhere. Love your work
Just read my first of your books. Please keep them coming.
Will do, Henri. Thanks a million for reading my books AND for contacting me!
Read Beyond the Cliffs of Kerry and it was a great read. I am a big fan of historical fiction and your book is a great example of such. Looking forward to reading Pride of the King and Sword of the Banshee.
Thanks so much for reading Kerry. I am so glad that an avid reader of historical fiction enjoyed it. Let me know how you like the other two books, and thanks again for contacting me. I love to hear from readers!
I love Historical fiction and was delighted to find a local author. After reading 'Beyond the Cliffs of Kerry', I looked for more books and was delighted that you had written more.
Pride of the King was read over the weekend and I devoured The Sword of the Banshee today.
From the moment I cracked open your books, you captured my attention and I was swept back in time. But I am always disappointed when a wonderful book ends, for I want it to continue forever.
Thank you for taking me back into a time and place where my own ancestors once lived!
Thank you for reading my novels AND you did it in record time. Wow! I also appreciate your wonderful comments. I live for this sort of thing. It sounds like you are in Minnesota and are of Irish ancestry. Try to stop down to the Irish Fair this August. I will be there Sat. and Sunday in the literary corner. It would be so fun to meet you! I am off to my event page to add info about it, and I will include more as I find out times of readings etc. Thanks again for making my day!
So glad that I discovered you through Book Bub when your first book was offered. I will read anything your write from now on.
Hi Sandra, Book Bub is a terrific service. I am so glad you found my novels. I put you on my mailing list, and I will let you know about events and when my books release. The next one is set during the American Civil War, a daunting undertaking!
Absolutely love your new website, Ms. Hughes! Your books are amazing. Thank you for sharing your stories with us!
I have read all of your books except the 20th century. I am not a fan of the more modern times, but I just downloaded The Image Seeker. I am on pins and needles waiting for more in the 17th century series. You are among my handful of favorite authors along with Phillipa Gregory, Christine Trent, and Tolkien. I don't often purchase hard copies of books to leave on my bookshelf to read again later, but several of your books are there including Beyond the Cliffs of Kerry, Vagabond Wind, and Pride of the King.
I adore all of your books in the Bold Women series. I am currently reading The House of Five Fortunes, and it is now one of my favorites. I cannot wait to see a new book come out! I was wondering if you would share some character ideas and/or settings for upcoming books. I want to also suggest a Native American "edition," possibly Pretty Nose, one of the only known female tribal war chiefs.
